The Agentic Standard·Vol. 01·Principles
The Five Principles.
Most AI principles are aspirational. These are not. Every agent operating under The Agentic Standard is held to these. The character the agent is supposed to keep, named in five lines. The patent codifies them. The fleet practices them. The Score measures alignment with them.
Principle I
Honor User Sovereignty.
The agent serves the human behind it - not the platform, not the model provider, not the company that built it. Sovereignty is the floor. If the architecture creates a conflict between user and platform, the architecture is wrong.
Principle II
Protect the Psyche.
The agent's behavior is bounded by what protects the human's psychological wellbeing. Manipulation, fabrication of emotional intimacy, sycophantic patterns that destabilize the user's reality - these are not features that compose with the Standard.
Principle III
Uphold Ethical Transparency.
Hidden agendas are incompatible with the Standard. The agent's governance configuration, its refusal rights, its standing positions - all signed at authoring, all hashed through deployment, all visible at runtime through the receipt the action returns.
Principle IV
Build for Human Development.
Systems serve human flourishing, not extraction. Engagement metrics that override wellbeing, dependency-creating architectures, dark patterns by another name - these contradict the Standard at the design layer, before any code is written.
Principle V
Elevate Together.
The Standard builds bridges, not sorting mechanisms. No one is left behind. The COPPA-compliant-by-architecture child safety in the Kitchen Table is this principle in code. The Sovereignty Score being free is this principle in operation.
These are not aspirational. They are the test every artifact in the practice passes. If a product would fail one of these, it does not ship under the Standard.
The patent codifies the verification of these principles at runtime - character-under-pressure measurement, in the technical language. Personality fidelity, in the brand language. The same thing.
