Free educational materials
Version 0.1 - Effective August 10, 2026
The AI-governance course, the in-browser demos, and the downloadable kit on this site are offered free, with no account and no paywall, because we want the ideas to be usable by anyone. This page names what those free materials are, what they are not, and the terms on which they are offered. If you engage us for paid work, that relationship is governed separately by the Engagement Agreement, not by this page.
1. Educational Purpose
The course, demos, and kit are educational material for learning and experimentation. They are intended to help you think through how to govern AI systems. They are a starting point for your own judgment, not a substitute for it.
2. Not Professional Advice
Nothing on these free pages is legal, security, compliance, financial, or other professional advice, and using them does not create any advisory, consulting, or professional relationship. Your circumstances are specific to you. For advice on your situation, consult a qualified professional.
3. No Warranty
The free materials are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the materials are complete, current, error-free, or suitable for any particular use.
4. The Downloadable Kit and Scripts
The downloadable kit contains example scripts (including demo.sh, refuse.sh, drift-check.sh, and demo-drift.sh) that run on your own machine. These are illustrative teaching examples. They are not a security control, a safety mechanism, or production-ready software, and you should not rely on them to protect any system, data, or person.
You are responsible for reviewing any script before you run it and for deciding whether it is appropriate for your environment. You run the scripts at your own risk.
5. No Guarantee of Security or Outcome
Working through the course or running the kit does not make any system secure, compliant, or safe, and does not prevent any breach, failure, or harm. No outcome is promised or guaranteed by these free materials.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Evoked and Erin Stanley are not liable for any loss, damage, breach, injury, or other harm arising from or related to the use of these free materials, whether the claim is based in contract, tort, statute, or any other legal theory. Because these materials are provided free of charge, you rely on them entirely at your own risk.
7. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Idaho without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions.
The materials are free because the questions they ask belong to everyone. The care with which you apply them to your own systems, and the people those systems serve, remains yours.
